Angels recall Amezaga, purchase Fasano's contract

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) The Anaheim Angels recalled infielder
Alfredo Amezaga on Monday and purchased the contract of catcher Sal
Fasano from Triple-A Salt Lake.
The Angels also designated right-handed pitcher Elvin Nina for
assignment.
Anaheim began a four-game series at Oakland with a one-game lead
over the Athletics in the AL West.
