Moore signed to bolster Niners' safety depth
Tuesday September 17, 2002
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) Safety Jason Moore signed with the
San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday, bolstering the club's depth at a
thin position.
San Francisco had just three safeties on its active roster when
Zack Bronson sprained his shoulder last Sunday.
Bronson, a two-year starter, is doubtful for the 49ers' upcoming
game against Washington. Tony Parrish and Ronnie Heard are expected
to start.
Moore played for the 49ers in 2000, and has also played for
Green Bay and Denver. He was cut by Miami on Sept. 1.
