Oakland re-signs Mike Jones

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) Linebacker Mike Jones was re-signed
Wednesday by the Oakland Raiders, who cut him last month.
Jones, who made the game-saving tackle in St. Louis' Super Bowl
victory in January 2000, will play Sunday against St. Louis if
rookie linebacker Napoleon Harris is unable to play because of a
shoulder injury.
To make room for Jones, Oakland waived kick returner Derek
Combs.
Running back Charlie Garner sat out of practice Wednesday with a
hamstring injury. Coach Bill Callahan isn't sure whether Garner
will play Sunday.
