Minor quake in east San Francisco Bay

Saturday October 11, 2003

ALAMO, Calif. (AP) A minor quake centered about one mile southwest of this east San Francisco Bay town struck late Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The magnitude-3.1 earthquake occurred about 10:15 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, according to police and sheriff's officials

Alamo is about 20 miles east of San Francisco.
