Monday January 27, 2003
LOS ANGELES (AP) A 14-car pileup involving a sewage truck
Sunday night led to a large, smelly spill in south Los Angeles,
California Highway Patrol officials said.
No one was immediately taken to the hospital, said CHP Officer
Bruce Gaines. The chain-reaction crashes occurred at the
intersection of the northbound Harbor Freeway and the eastbound
Century Freeway, Gaines said.
It had not been immediately determined who was at fault and the
cause of the crash was under investigation hours after the crash,
officials said.
