PASADENA, Calif. (AP) A student suffered minor injuries Friday
in a laboratory accident at the California Institute of Technology.
The unidentified student was taken to Huntington Memorial
Hospital for treatment of minor cuts and other unspecified
injuries, Caltech spokeswoman Deborah Williams-Hedges said.
The student was conducting an experiment that produced a
``violent chemical reaction,'' Williams-Hedges said.
