Dogs found dead in sweltering parked motor home

Saturday July 26, 2003

LOS ANGELES (AP) Four dead dogs and one surviving pet pooch found in a parked motor home in Hollywood without food or water belonged to a man jailed for a similar abandonment last week, animal advocates said.

Dragan Yelich, 43, was jailed this week for leaving five dogs and three cats without food or water in another motor home parked in sweltering heat on July 17, Madeline Bernstein, president of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles, said Friday. Those animals all survived.
