Sandra Furlong
Snake charming, cliff diving and body surfing in Hawaiian-sized waves is nothing new to Sandra Furlong. She's a daredevil at heart. It's a trait that has aided her well, performing daring acts as the feature reporter on UPN 31 KMAX's Good Day Sacramento (weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m)
Furlong's daredevil spirit was built by growing up in Hawaii as the only girl among five brothers. "I've got scars to prove it!" says Furlong. After graduating from Vassar College in New York, Sandra spent a year traveling around the world with Up With People, an uplifting, philanthropic international performing youth group.
Today, Sandra brings her daredevil demeanor to Good Day Sacramento's feature reports. Using that tough, energizing smile, she's jogged with a marathon runner, rode on motorized roller blades and went rock climbing. When Sandra's not reporting on exciting activities and attractions, she enjoys roller blading, running and visiting her family in the Bay Area.
Sandra was named best reporter in Sacramento Magazine's "Best Of 2000" issue.
